EN: On 10 May 2022, the AMU Theatre Studio hosted a concert The <\/em>Song of Life \u2013 Irmos for Ukraine<\/em> performed by the outstanding Ukrainian singer, actress, director and pedagogue Natalka Polovynka, who heads the Word and Voice Theatre Centre<\/a> in Lviv, and her friends from the Poznan Dance House. The event was organised by Witold Zalewski with the support of Prof. Grzegorz Zi\u00f3\u0142kowski and the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology of AMU.<\/p>\n

The concert began with Irmos, early Christian Orthodox liturgical songs, which were performed as a prayer for Ukraine. Later, Ukrainian and Polish folk songs resounded, and at the end, those gathered spontaneously moved to the library hall, where a dance party was held to the sound of traditional instruments.<\/p>\n

During the concert, funds were raised to support those who had found refuge at the Word and Voice Centre, which has functioned as a shelter since the beginning of the war, while continuing its artistic activities.<\/p>\n
